Project “Creation of new jobs in Momchilgrad municipality” has launched

The project “Creation of new jobs in Momchilgrad municipality”, with contract № BGLD-1.007-0070-C01 is funded under the Programme “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Improved Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups”, through the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014 – 2021. The Public Assistance Fund Association is a partner of the lead organisation, Solaron Ltd.

The main objective of the project proposal is to create new jobs in the municipality of Momchilgrad in order to test and promote innovative approaches to local employment development, provide more accessible information on job vacancies and encourage employers to adopt flexible working practices, organise events that bring together employers and job seekers and create job opportunities for disadvantaged groups. The need for employment is also determined by a higher than average unemployment rate in Momchilgrad municipality, as well as by the extremely high levels of so-called NEETS (neither in education nor in employment) people aged 15 to 29. The beneficiary plans to develop its “e-commerce” activity, relying on the capacity of people from small municipalities who have been prevented from developing their potential, limited by their geographical distance from strong economic centres. This will occur simultaneously with the creation of new jobs in a dynamic sector and the introduction of innovative approaches to democratic dialogue and gradual autonomy in their relationship with the employer. The partner is responsible for the implementation of Activity 4 SCD 5 – Training for employers, including:

  • Employer trainings to introduce flexible and innovative approaches to recruitment ;
  • Training for employers on new approaches to business management to improve competitiveness and sustainability;
  • Pilot online training for employers on e-commerce basics.

Implementation period: from 28.02.2023 to 30.04.2024 Budget : BGN 207 944,00 , including BGN 192 310,00 grant and BGN 15 634,00 SF.
